CLASSES OFFERED JUDGE: Ms. Alice Watt - Salem, Oregon, USA
Saturday June 12, 1999 - All regular classes including 12-18
months and veterans. Unofficial classes offered are: Stud Dog,
Brood Bitch, Brace, Team, Altered Class, Sled Dog Class.
AWARDS
Best In Specialty Dog Sled donated by Neil & Laura Burton
We will be offering Prizes and Rosettes for: Best of Breed, Best
of Opposite Sex, Best Puppy, Best Of Winners, Winners Male,
Winners Female, Reserve Winners Male, Reserve Winners Female,
Best Overall Veteran, Best Overall Sled Dog, Best Overall
Altered, and first through fourth placings in EACH regular and
unofficial class. One Award of Merit will be offered for every
10 dogs competing for Best of Breed with recipients chosen after
Best Of Breed judging. An Award and Rosette will be given to the
siberian with the Highest Qualifying Score in the RKOC Obedience
Trials on the day of the Specialty.

SLED DOG CLASSES JUDGE: Alice Watt - Salem, Oregon, USA
CLASS A: Sled Dog Class SD, Sled Dog Excellent Class SDX, Sled
Dog Unlimited Class SDU * Winner of each of these 3 divisions only - competes for Best Overall Sled Dog.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SC, SDX, SDU DIVISIONS
1. Requirements as per CKC Certificate Program. Actual
Certificates or Copy of, to be provided to the Show Secretary
with the Entry!
2. Any dog that does not have a title, may be exhibited, if
proof that the dog has met condition #1, above, is submitted to
the Show Secretary with the entry. (ie. Completed Passport).
3. The winner of each of these 3 divisions competes for Best Overall Sled Dog.
CLASS B: LIMITED CLASS - During the previous racing season on
snow, each entry must have finished a MINIMUM of 4 days of
competition, any class acceptable, with a MINIMUM of 12 mile
total.
CLASS C: UNLIMITED CLASS - During the previous racing season on
snow, each entry must have finished a minimum of FOUR 2-day
races with a MINIMUM of 10 miles per day or any combination of
the above totaling a MINIMUM of 8 days and 80 miles or finished a
150 mile minimum race.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR LIMITED AND UNLIMITED CLASSES:
1. Proof of competition MUST BE ATTACHED TO ENTRY. A letter
giving dates, finishing positions, time and trail length will
suffice. Please note: Each entry must be entered in a Regular
CKC Official Class or Exhibition Only, plus the appropriate Sled
Dog Class. * Each entry must be a CKC or AKC registered Siberian Husky. * Races must have been held under the direction of a
recognized sled dog club.* Males & Females will be judged
together in each division. * Males must have both testicles,
Females must not be spayed.* Entrants must compete at "Highest
Level Possible." * Proof of Qualifications for any of the divisions offered must be received with the entry.
Parade Of Veterans (no entry fee)
Prior to the judging of Best of Breed, there will be a Parade of
Veterans. All dogs must be a minimum of 7 years of age to enter
this class. Entrants are requested to provide a brief history
of their dog. Please do not exceed 50 words in length. All
dogs entered in the Parade of Veterans must be entered in an
official class or for exhibition only.
Parade of Title Holders (no entry fee)
All dogs entering the Parade of Title Holders must have acquired
a title in either conformation, obedience or sledding. All dogs
entered in the Parade of Title Holders must be entered in an
official class or for exhibition only.
SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES JUDGE: Mr. Mike Palutke-Ardrossan, Alberta, Canada
Sweepstakes - Friday June 11, 1999 (Immediately after RKOC Best In Show)
All puppies between the age of 6 and 18 months on June 11, 1999
are eligible to compete, regardless of their place of birth. All
puppies entered in Puppy Sweeps must be entered in one of the
Official Classes of the Specialty. Classes will be divided by
sex. Classes offered will be 6-9 months, 9-12 months and 12-18
months. See Sweepstakes Prize list below.
Veterans Sweepstakes - Friday June 11 (Immediately after SHCC Puppy Sweepstakes)
Veterans Sweepstakes is open to all Veteran Siberian Huskies.
Classes will be divided by sex and are as follows: 7-9 years,
10-12 years, and 13 years and over. All dogs entered in
Veteran's Sweepstakes need not be entered in a Regular Official
Class. See Sweepstakes Prize list below.
Sled Dog Sweepstakes - Friday June 11 (Immediately after SHCC
Veterans Sweepstakes)
This is the first Sled Dog Sweepstakes to be offered at a
National. The requirements are simply that the siberian must
have run on a team. Classes to be divided between males and
females only with a Best Overall In Sweepstakes to be awarded.

Sweepstakes Prize Breakdown
Money received as entry fee for the sweepstakes will be pooled
and divided. 25% of money received will be retained by the
club, the remainder will be divided as follows:
1st in each class 30% of class entry
2nd in each class 20% of class entry
3rd in each class 10% of class entry
4th in each class 5% of class entry
Best In Sweepstakes Rosette and 10% of total entry fee money.
Best of Opposite Sex Rosette.
SHCC Junior Showmanship Competition - Sunday June 13th (during
the noon lunch break) To be held under the CKC Rules - the
mechanism will appear in the specialty show catalog.
